DOCTOR WHO Coming Soon Teaser 2013

The recent Christmas Day Special for Doctor Who marked a major turning point for the fantastical science-fiction series. After solving a Victorian-era crisis of man-eating snowmen, the Doctor decided to set aside his grief and track down another iteration of Clara Oswin Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman), a woman he has seen die twice in two different time periods.

Though the second half of this season of Doctor Who won’t air until April of 2013, the show has wasted no time in drumming up interest in the upcoming episodes. As such, BBC released a trailer for the back half of season 7 on Christmas Day.

An (old) New look for Series 7 Cybermen *SPOILERS*

I reported back in November that Neil Gaiman was going to be writing the new Cyberman story for the 2013 portion of series 7 and that he would be making them "scary" again... well we might not have any story line but we do have a glimpse at their new (old) look....

After watching the Christmas Special (and not giving away any SPOILERS) you can definitely see that there's homage to the classic series, particularly from the new title sequence.  I cant wait until series seven begins (I heard it would be around April) if just to see what else Moffat has come up with...

I still honestly think we should see a return of the classic Cybermen, we've already established that these new series Cybermen are from an alternative universe, where as the Original Cybermen were from the Earths Twin Planet Mondas, so we could very easily incorporate that into a story line....

Possible Doctor Who Prequel for 'Asylum of the Daleks' Coming

According to Sarah Bartles-Smith's CV, noticed by DoctorWhoTV, there will be a prequel for the first episode of Series 7.

But not only that, she is also did work on something called "Last Day of the Ponds" which could be a DVD/Blu-Ray feature or mini-episode like with "Night and the Doctor”.

Hopefully we find out for soon, and will be able to see it shortly after.

The Series 7 Return of Doctor Who???

The question everyone is asking right now is when will Doctor Who return, we've had August 25th thrown at us, more recently it was announced the maybe September 1st however, yesterday BBC America aired a series of the new promo which can be found here: Series 7 Promo but it would seem that someone at BBC America accidently played the wrong version of the trailer.  Where as at the end of the promo it states "Doctor Who returning this fall" one of them actually stated that Doctor Who will be returning September 8th to BBC America.

Screen grab from trailer
So thats it right? Well actually it might not be....

For the rest of the day the Trailers went back to the generic version, additionally the BBC still have September the 1st scheduling open. What this could mean is that the UK will have the episode a week prior to the US.

So theres a little light at the end of this tunnel with a glimmer of hope that we now know when... But like everything else Doctor Who, its all just a little wibbly wobbly timey wimey right now!
