The NEW TARDIS interior
Ive been tryign to keep away fromt he spoilers, and such for this years Christmas Special but over the past couple of weeks the BBC have been teasing us with cropped imaged of the new TARDIS interior which is due to make its debut this Christmas Day. Today they finally gave us the console and WOW, it is very different from the 2005 rebooted version and the newer Strampunked version introduced with Matt Smiths Doctor.... in fact in my opinion it looks like maybe they were paying a little homage to Classic Who... is this the start of the 50th Anniversary celebrations??

TARDIS Trash Can, is it bigger on the inside?
This Office-sized Trash Can, a detailed model of the 11th Doctor’s
TARDIS offers the retro futuristic vibe your office sorely needs!
Or if you're like me and your office/workshop is a TARDIS this is a MUST HAVE!
Just step on the pedal to open the roof and activate the police box light detail and TARDIS Materialize sound effect, and when your rubbish is safely deposited into the easy clean removable interior, release the pedal to activate the TARDIS Dematerialize sound effect.
• The approximate height is 42cms, but remember, it's bigger on the inside.
• Office-sized Trash Can is a detailed model of the 11th Doctor’s TARDIS.
• Step on pedal and the roof opens.
• Removable interior can with handle to make trash easily removable.
• Sound & Light activated when the pedal is pressed. Sound is as TARDIS Materialize when opened and TARDIS Dematerialize when closed. The light is pale blue and flashes with the crescendos of the sound effect.
I do hope there is a way to turn the sound off though, I would imagine that after awhile some may get tired of hearing the VWORP! VWORP! everytime you throw something away... Not me... But some others maybe.

Nothing says "I love you" like a TARDIS Ring
So quick bit of back story,
My wife and I were married some years ago BUT at the time I wasnt working (wasnt allowed due to lack of work permit for the US) so I wasnt able to get her a proper wedding ring. However it wasnt about the ring to her or me for that matter. It was about us spending the rest of our lives together and growing old with one another. Little did she realise what she was really getting herself in to. None the less Marfi has been at my side and supported me in what I do even when she dosnt like it, she is one in a million and for that I am very lucky.
With that said, on to the purpose of the post. So about a month ago, will doing my usual scouting the internet for Doctor Who stuff I came across a unique piece of jewelery, a TARDIS ring designed by Gino Arizmendi.
The three round stones is the Police Box sign, the two sets of four baguettes symbolize the windows, and a small princess cut below that to symbolize the instructions found on the front of the Police Box..... Perfect.
Immediately I email Gino and made some inquiries, very quickly I got the price list, and had to figure out how I was gonna afford it. After again talking to Gino he and I organised a sort of payment plan in which I could pay for the ring in installments, once the balance was paid he would send out the ring...
heres the price list (as of April 2012)
You can find more details on the ring as well as a way to order your own here: http://artgemsjewelers.com/
If you do contact Gino, do let him know you heard it from me

I did it, I saved up a little each week from the sales of my Cybermat Earrings and my IR Illuminators as well as other stuff and over the course of a month and a bit I was able to finally afford to buy my wife something that is unique, special and beautiful, much like herself.
It arrived only a few days after the final payment was made and its fantastic, truly a work of art and something that is personal, something that will stay in our family for generations I'm sure.

As my wife puts it, shes a Whovian by marriage, I think this kinda sealed that deal.

TARDIS update
As you should already know, I built myself a TARDIS last year, you can check out the build diary here: http://myuntemperedschism.blogspot.com/2011/12/wheres-tardis.html
I met a guy at Hurricane Who last November called Danny, he mentioned that he owned a TARDIS and I remarked that I also own a TARDIS then we started to compare and both agreed that each others is fantastic, however he somewhat had a slight edge on mine being that he also had a remote sound and light board which meant he could press a button and the iconic TARDIS "Vwroooom, Vwroooom" would activate....
Well I met Danny again, this time at Megacon 2012 and he very kindly brought me a circuit of my own. Soon as I got home I attached it and well.... you can see the awesomeness for yourself.
Thanks again Danny
Oh yeah..... Sexy!!!

MegaCon 2012
So last weekend myself and Scott were guests to MegaCon 2012 in Orlando. The first thing we had to do was find where we were supposed to be, our table already had our names on it we just had to discover its whereabouts...... Then out the corner of my eye I spotted a TARDIS, and next to that was our table.... call it luck, call it fate I just call it pure awesomeness.
The TARDIS was build specifically for MegaCon by Lewis Bailey
Throughout the 3 days I met some fantastic people and saw some really cool costumes and the added bonus is that the majority of my photos have the TARDIS in the background....
So here are just some of the really cool photos I took last weekend, enjoy.....

Ceramic TARDIS Teapot
So I had a thought a little while ago about make a teapot using one of the TARDIS ceramic mugs...
However, today I found out that there are plans to release one this year, where as I've yet to find out the exact date I figure rather than spending the money on the mug and attempting to modify it Im just gonna wait...
the perfect companion to the mug:
The best place that Ive found to get a hold of the mug is here: Who North America: Ceramic TARDIS Mug

Exploding TARDIS shirt update
The shirt is now done and hanging, it needs to dry for a solid 3 days before it goes in the washing machine (inside out, thats what the paint bottles say and who am I to argue). So with that, I have to wait til next week before I know how well the paint took to the shirt... fingers crossed!
Check out the photo diary here: http://myuntemperedschism.blogspot.com/2011/12/exploding-tardis-t-shirt.html

Hand painted exploding TARDIS T-Shirt
So while I was scouting the internet looking for the pictures of my shirts I came across a couple of images of the Exploding TARDIS from the episode "The Pandorica Opens" and I thought to myself I could paint a really cool shirt with that image.... Ive seen others do it on websites such as Etsy but they charge around $50 for the shirt which I guess with how long it took to paint is fair enough, and dont get me wrong they are pretty good but being that I'm cheap and I have some painting skills I decided I would give it a go myself.
Lets not forget. I've already painted the exploding TARDIS once for my Dad on a canvas (past post: not quit Van Gogh )
Apologies for the photo quality, on my iphone it looked a lot better...
in total it took me about 3 or 4 hours, adding layers to give it that Van Gogh effect. Right now I'm just waiting for it to dry before putting on a few extra details such as the writing on the door, and giving another coat to certain areas. Once that's dry I can put the whole thing in the washing machine.
I used chalk to give a rough idea of placement then using fabric paint I got to work. The shirt cost me maybe $3 the paint less than $4 so for less than $10 I got myself a pretty cool shirt I think.... Yes another shirt for my collection....
Did you Know, we will be celebrating not only going into a new year but also that fact that two years ago on the 1st Matt Smith appeared as the Doctor for the first time, Happy 2yr Anniversary Mr Smith and a Happy New Year to everyone else...
